Les Patriots ont annoncé avoir signé un OL: Luke Patterson, et un autre OL rookie: Brice Schwab.

Patterson, 25 ans, avait été signé par Kansas City en tant que rookie free agent en provenance de Texas A&M (ou il jouait defensive lineman) le 27 juillet 2011. Il avait participé pendant 2 saisons aux camps des Chiefs sans jamais incorporer l'équipe premiere.

Schwab, 23 ans, a été lui signé par Tampa Bay comme rookie free agent le 29 Avril 2013, et a été viré des Buccaneers le 31 juillet 2013. A l'université de Palomar Community College en 2009 avant d'aller à Arizona State en 2010, ce tackle droit de formation a été titulaire 17 fois sur 22 matchs joués à Arizona St. .

A noter que les Patriots ont aussi viré le rookie DL Travis Chappelear, qui avait signé hier. De même pour le rookie LS Mike Zupancic.

The team also announced the release of defensive lineman Travis Chappelear, who was signed on Thursday, and long snapper Mike Zupancic. There was a need on the offensive line, especially with the workload in training camp, as third-year guard Marcus Cannon was absent at practice on Thursday and veteran guard Dan Connolly has been limited throughout camp thus far. Patterson, 25, spent parts of the 2011 and 2012 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after coming out of Texas A&M. Schwab, an undrafted rookie from Arizona State, spent the spring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released on July 31 after a few days in camp. The decision to release Zupancic bodes well for long snapper Danny Aiken, who has been the team’s primary long snapper for each of the past two seasons.
